Being Brave

Today we had our monthly assembly. We performed in front of Lakewood School students and families. We presented with Room 15.  We talked about what it means to be brave and then we showed our "Brave Video." Click the link here to see the video. It was inspired by Sara Bareilles. We used parts of her video to help with ours. Thank You!
Enjoy!

Mummy Making

We had a fabulous time getting our hands dirty today! We made mummies out of tin foil, glue and paper towel. We pretended to scoop out all the internal organs to mummify our Egyptian kings and queens! Stay tuned for a animoto video highlighting all the fun!

An Egyptian Expert!

Today Ms. Watts came down to our class to tell us about her visit to Egypt. she brought in 4 albums full of pictures. She showed us pictures of mummies, tombs, camels and pyramids. We had a lot of great questions for her! She also showed us what Cities look like in present day Egypt. Here are some things we learned:
The climate is very hot and dry
When Ramadan is, you don't eat during the daylight hours
You can enter some pyramids, but not others
Security guards at the pyramids ride camels
You can buy lots of fresh foods at the markets
Ms Watts ate a lot of pita bread and hummus

We had a great time! Thanks for sharing, Ms. Watts!
